Alabama Museum of Natural History
Located on the campus of the University of Alabama in Smith Hall, the Alabama Museum of Natural History (a unit of The University of Alabama Museums) has celebrated Alabama’s natural history through exhibitions, collections, and quality programs of teaching, research, and service for over 150 years. ALMNH explores what makes Alabama special through remarkable exhibitions, specimen collections, and unique field science programs.
Department of Research and Collections 
The Department of Research & Collections is responsible for overseeing the management and curation of The University of Alabama Museums’ collections and developing interdisciplinary research programs across the University that focus on museum-based research.
